Hello! to the students I will be instructing this week at UCLA Extension. My session, entitled "Effect of Social Marketing on Television" as part of the Developing and Planning TV Programming Models will take place on Thursday.

I look forward to meeting all of the participants from Beijing. Welcome.

How to get a job

1. Join Twitter and follow me. I tweet about a lot of social media/job hunting related items. Follow your desired workplaces. Follow Mashable.

2. Join production newsletters like cynopsis.com. Contact the people hiring in the classified section, even if the job is not for you. Usually they are HR people. They hire every level.

3. Show up at your friend's gig and look like you fit in.

4. Listen to every conversation on every production you manage to get on.

5. Create a long list of contacts in your address book.

6. Join Linkedin and other networking sites that feature production.

7. Upload on YouTube so you can link to it in an email so that professionals can see your work EASILY.
