Since the last time I wrote HBOlab has been successfully sold to Break Media. The details of this deal are somewhat confidential and mostly inconsequential. The outcome however is wonderful, especially in this economic climate. The value of the lab, as a creative force with a keen understanding of the potential audience and marketplace was obvious. We had a ton of interest in a very difficult market, in a very short period of time, over the Christmas holiday.

I am finishing out my current consultancy with HBO and have a couple of new clients (one of which is taking a great deal of start-up time).
I am also, as suggested above, creating a college level course on audience building which will focus on both television and digital media...on linear and non-linear businesses.
I continue to work with the ATAS when asked to speak and I am beginning to speak to the academic institutions that are interested in the course.
I will begin to use the blog more as I encounter students through my work. That points to a few speaking engagements I have coming up. I will post them here as they firm up.
